How will I get my first job once my training is finished?

The Underwater Centre, Tasmania is unique in that we are able to provide a placement scheme for all students who train with us. We will provide you with an introduction to local aquaculture companies, along with a guaranteed interview, helping you get over those first initial hurdles often put in your way.

Our instructors, who not only come from Australia but also from our sister school in Fort William, provide their own useful career advice.  All of our instructors are experienced commercial divers who have worked – and many still work – in the inshore and offshore diving industries. This makes them able to pass on important hints and tips for searching for that first role. It also means they can pass on important information about working in industry and how to get ahead.

In conjunction with our school in Fort William, once you have completed your training with us, we will post your CV on our dedicated graduate CV page on our website. Diving contractors can then take a look at your CV when they have diving roles to fill.
